We are back in the US, exhausted from our travels. I would have written sooner, except internet access at our various hotels was unreliable. I merely want to let you know that our tour of the Doge's Palace was the high point of our entire trip. Thank you so much, and know that I wish I could have gotten to know you as a friend. Yesterday I got up early and went to a book store to buy the catalog. The city was fantastic and full of a marvelous light and I remembered you and our friendly and sincere talks. I feel as If you were an old and very dear friend.
